Hi. This is different for me. I am not used to being very open about writing and taking up more space than an Instagram caption. It's easier to talk about the meanings behind a piece of art with a short video that I create... than to write. However, writing and painting for me are interconnected. I find words and simple phrases can often spark ideas for me, as well as visuals that catch my eye everyday. Later down the line, I want to get more in-depth with what inspires me to consistently document what does and then look back for patterns. This could be interesting to show with process videos - to actually communicate to you what I am seeing and help to share the beginnings of the creative process - I believe these are often overlooked factors.

My first post is a bit of a reflection at my art through the years. My life has been going in many different directions and I have graduated from college. I have never stopped and looked back at how far that I have come. The first painting that I ever tried to create was bent in half and thrown into my trash can when I was in middle school. I was so frustrated at the thought of not being good and not catching onto the medium. Little did I know that it would transform the way that I thought about life and who I am.
The main reason for developing my website and online shop is to organize all of my thoughts and art forms in one place. I am working on custom paintings/murals/furniture as well as my own prints and artwork. I want to stay true to my traditional art roots while also sharing my graphic design/digital work as well. Video will be incorporated into my daily posts to share how I create certain pieces (also will be having a YouTube channel for longer videos and getting a little more in depth than Instagram/Facebook).
